It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Life Member Hunter Weaver.
Hunter joined the department in February of 1962 and gave immeasurably to the Madison County Volunteer Fire Company throughout his many years of dedicated service. He began serving as Chaplain on January 1, 1979 and faithfully served in that role for 46 years, until December of 2024.
For over 60 years, Hunter was a steady and comforting presence within our fire company family. He prayed with us in difficult moments, celebrated alongside us in joyful ones, and offered strength, guidance, kindness, and encouragement through every season of life. His compassion, faith, and genuine care for others touched countless members, officers, families, and friends of our department, and our community at-large.
Hunter’s impact on this company cannot truly be measured. He was deeply loved, greatly respected, and will be sincerely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside him.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. We ask that you please keep the Weaver family and all who loved Hunter in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
