As Father’s Day weekend gets underway, we want to pause and honor every dad, grandpa, stepdad, father figure, and caregiver who shows up for the children in their lives.

Your patience, guidance, and love help kids feel safe, confident, and truly cherished. Whether you’re cheering from the sidelines, reading bedtime stories, working hard to provide, or just showing up day after day — it means more than you realize. We hope this weekend gives you time to unwind, feel celebrated, and create special memories with the people who matter most.

Happy Father’s Day weekend to all the incredible dads and father figures out there!

Juneteenth is a time to honor freedom, reflect on our history, and celebrate resilience, culture, and community. Observed on June 19th, it marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they were free - more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It’s an important reminder that freedom and equality should be recognized and protected for all.

Today, we celebrate Black voices, achievements, traditions, and the ongoing pursuit of justice. May we continue learning, listening, and building a more inclusive future together.

Children are healthier when they live, learn and play in and around nature. “Greenness” near homes, schools and in the community can support healthier birth outcomes; increased physical activity and healthier weight in children; more robust immune function and reduced nearsightedness. It is essential for healthy development in children. Check out this toolkit to learn more about the benefits of nature in action:
