Friends of Yannette for District 10

Friends of Yannette for District 10 My name is Yannette Figueroa Cole and I am seeking re-election for District 10 - Madison As your alder, Yannette continues to uplift the community needs.

Meet Yannette
Alder Figueroa Cole found a home and community in Madison when she moved here over 30 years ago. She is married to Jesse; together, they raised their son and rescued their puppy “MaeRican” from Puerto Rico. Alder Figueroa Cole took on a community leadership role for six years by serving as the Treasurer and later President of the Dunn’s Marsh Neighborhood Association. She also dedica

ted her efforts towards supporting the unsheltered population as a volunteer Street Outreach and Treasurer of Friends of the State Street Families for nearly eight years. She has made notable progress towards a more centered vision of inclusion and equity in public safety, housing, transportation, and community engagement. Ultimately, Alder Figueroa Cole has gone above and beyond her role by answering constituent emails, attending community meetings, uplifting your voices, and forming partnerships to facilitate understanding of the budget, ordinances, and city processes. Now, Alder Figueroa Cole needs your support to continue serving District 10. Please volunteer, donate, and share information regarding Yannette’s re-election campaign. Mark your calendars for the Spring Election on April 4, 2023, and Vote for Yannette Figueroa Cole!

Built in 1915, Bernard-Hoover Boathouse sits in James Madison Park and is the oldest standing boathouse on Lake Mendota. The boathouse is part of the era when commercial boating thrived in the "city of the four lakes." In 1981, the boathouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

It was a pleasure to share this celebration with Parks and the Mendota Rowing Club! Took the D bus from Verona/Beltline to James Park, what an easy way to enjoy a day at the beach without having to worry about parking. Got off at Blair, one block from the beach!!

This local election cycle was a significant milestone for our community, with housing taking center stage. The majority of the electoral votes (including me) went to pro-housing candidates, a decision that will shape our community's future. I am so grateful to the City of Madison for this collective effort!

I am looking forward to the positive changes we can bring. If you haven't done so, subscribe to the alder's blogs, including mine which can be found here: https://www.cityofmadison.com/council/district10/blog

Stay connected! Let's make a difference together!Gracias for your support

Tonight is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of so many people who believe in building a stronger District 10. Throughout this campaign, we’ve focused on the everyday issues that matter most, affordable housing, better city services, and real solutions for our community. I’m grateful for the conversations we’ve had, the support from neighbors across the district, and the opportunity to continue working on the challenges that impact residents every day. The work doesn’t stop here. I remain committed to ensuring every voice in District 10 is heard and that we move forward together.
