I stopped by the Fort Atkinson Lions Club to donate used eyeglasses and support their incredible work helping provide vision care to those in need.

A simple donation can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life, and I’m grateful for organizations like the Lions Club that turn community generosity into opportunities for better sight and improved quality of life.

If you have old eyeglasses collecting dust in a drawer, consider donating them to your local Lions Club. Together, we can help more people see a brighter future.

It was a pleasure to join Representative Fitzgerald in welcoming members of the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce to the Wisconsin State Capitol!

These visits provide a valuable opportunity for local business leaders and community members to learn more about the legislative process, share their perspectives, and discuss the issues that matter most to our communities. Strong partnerships between state government, local businesses, and community organizations help us build a stronger Wisconsin for everyone.

It was an honor to attend the Wisconsin Coalition for Community Schools’ 3rd Annual Statewide Conference and join educators, advocates, families, and community partners who are working to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed.

Community schools are about more than academics—they create partnerships that connect students and families with essential resources, strengthen communities, and help remove barriers to learning. By bringing together schools, local organizations, and families, we can create opportunities for every child to thrive.

Thank you to the Wisconsin Coalition for Community Schools for hosting this important event and for your continued leadership in advancing student success across our state. I look forward to continuing our work to support strong public schools and vibrant communities.

It was a pleasure to visit Heartland Farm Sanctuary and learn more about their innovative transitional program in partnership with the Stoughton Area School District alongside Representative Fitzgerald and Representative Udell.

This unique program provides students with hands-on learning opportunities while building valuable life and workforce skills in a supportive environment. By connecting education, agriculture, and community engagement, Heartland Farm Sanctuary is helping young people gain confidence, develop new talents, and prepare for future success.

Thank you to the staff, students, and volunteers for sharing your work with us and for the positive impact you are making in our community. I look forward to continuing to support programs that create meaningful opportunities for Wisconsin students.

Father’s Day -
When we are kids it can be a day to celebrate dad and all the fun stuff he does with us!
As we get older and have our own kids, it takes on a different meaning of celebrating dad and all he taught us.
And as he gets older, Father’s Day means not knowing how many more days there will be to celebrate.
This is my second Father’s Day without my dad here to wish him a Happy Father’s Day and celebrate with him.
What I do have, though, is the happy memories from the past that carry him with me and help me to celebrate him today ❤️

It was a pleasure to attend the 2026 Habitat Dream Builders Gala and celebrate the incredible work being done to create safe, affordable housing for families in our communities.

Habitat for Humanity’s mission goes far beyond building houses—it helps build stability, opportunity, and stronger neighborhoods. The Dream Builders Gala was a wonderful opportunity to recognize the volunteers, donors, staff, and community partners whose dedication makes this work possible.
