June is National Dairy Month, and a great way to celebrate is by attending one of the many dairy breakfasts happening around the 69th District. In fact, dairy is so important to our area that we are actually kicking off Dairy Month a day early with two dairy breakfasts on Sunday, May 31st. Check out the calendar below of all the dairy breakfasts around the district.

It was an honor to serve as the keynote speaker for the Thorp Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday. I’ve had the privilege of attending many Memorial Day ceremonies over the years. As I hear the stories of our fallen heroes, I’m reminded of how blessed we are to live here in America.

As I travel around the 69th Assembly District, one of the top priorities I hear about from constituents is investing in our roads and bridges. Last week, I joined fellow legislators, local leaders, and transportation stakeholders for a roundtable discussion in Eau Claire. We learned about the state of transportation infrastructure in our area and had a conversation about how to best meet our state's transportation needs going forward. Thank you to the Transportation Development Association of Wisconsin for putting this event together!

It was wonderful to see the 4th and 5th grade students from Granton Elementary again when I stopped by to visit them on Friday. I delivered their photo souvenirs from their trip to the State Capitol last month and talked to them more about how state government works and my job as their state representative.

Last Monday, I was pleased to present members of the Neillsville Lady Warriors Basketball Team with a citation on behalf of the State Legislature recognizing them for winning the Division 4 State Championship earlier this spring. This championship was achieved with much hard work and dedication by both players and coaches. I thank them for representing the 69th District well on the statewide stage.

On Tuesday, I was humbled to accept the Outstanding Legislator Award from the Wisconsin Counties Association at the Taylor County Courthouse in Medford. From plowing our highways to taking care of our children and seniors, counties do incredibly important work that benefits all Wisconsinites. I will continue to work to provide our counties with the resources they need to serve the people of Wisconsin.
