Guess who did it again for a photo opportunity. If this is how Love's is going to love the local handicap maybe we should continue down the Freeway to the Pilot Truck Stop at Ave 18 or the EX Fill at Ave 12? Love's got a lot of tax incentives to open in Madera. Maybe their General Manger Bert needs to be reminded?

McClane Trucking blocking two handicap parking spots at the new Loves Truck Stop.

Funny thing is there was a legal loading zone less than ten yards away. I hope Loves teaches their drivers to respect the handicap in Madera if they want to stay in our community.

Another UPS Driver parking in the handicap at the Mail Drop on Howard Road in Madera. After I took these pictures the driver pulled out her camera and claimed I was harassing her by taking a photo and got offended when I said she was being stupid arguing for her rights to park in a spot reserved for people who really need it. She also claimed I was going to jail for taking photos of her truck. I really hope she calls the police. WHAT A MORON!

Well here is a new one for Brown. A UPS driver parked in a handicapped stall at the Mail Drop on Howard Road actually tried to push me or get me to drop my camera when I was taking photos.

He actually told me in front of the owners of the business that UPS doesn't care if they take up handicap parking. I doubt his boss at the Fresno Center will say the same.

Interesting note, when I pulled up the back end of his truck was wide open while he was in the air conditioned store. Anyone could have drove up and emptied his truck and no one would have been there to stop them.

I think this is proof S in UPS does not stand for secure.

The Madera County Department of Education buses blocking the handicap parking spots at Norman Gould Center. The one school that needs those spots are being blocked. Does the transportation director care about the handicap being driven to school by their parents?

Parents have complained and nothing was done to fix this.

These kids are being discriminated against that need these spots. There needs to be a separate location for the buses so kids being driven by car can use those spots dedicated to them. It's poor planning that needs to be fixed.

And it's just sad when school bus drivers get on here and say parents with handicap kids should "stop complaining and get there earlier". I couldn't pay for better quotes when I finally write a story on this.

Blocking the handicap parking spots is wrong and for the school to condone it does not make it right. There are parents who need those spots for their kids and these bus drivers think they should WAIT or COME EARLIER is just proof that this is something the transportation department for the county just does not care about.

These kids matter and their rights to access matters. It's great that some people get it and it's sad that these bus drivers want to defend discriminating against the kids that don't ride their buses.

I bet they are the same bus drivers that supported the MUSD bus driver that locked an autistic student in her bus and clocked out for the night a few years ago. Thankfully she was fired!

For those that want to complain to the Madera Tribune, ask for DJ Becker. Handicap access and getting people out of handicap parking spots that don't belong there is the one and the only thing we completely agree on.

A driver at the furniture store next to Food 4 Less blocked both handicap parking spots for nearly a half hour Monday afternoon.

When I asked him to move the truck his answer was "F-You". When I asked the owner of the furniture store he indicated that he "DID NOT CARE ABOUT THE HANDICAP".

So here are the pictures of the truck from Williams Furniture of Fresno with a phone number of (559) 233-8899. So if you happen to care about the handicap might I suggest a phone call to Williams Furniture where you can share your feelings on this matter?

See someone misusing handicap parking? Post it here.

This stuff needs to end.

This stuff needs to end.

Most won't get it but some will. How many times do the handicap need to wait while businesses don't care where their drivers park their vehicles?

There are reasons for handicap spots and just cause you are only going to be a minute (or 15) doesn't mean these businesses get to break the law.

How is the person who owns this car suppose to get into his car with this armored vehicle less than a foot from his door? What if he is in a wheelchair, this armored vehicle is blocking the wheelchair access.

If law enforcement saw anyone else doing this, they would write a $250 ticket. Why are armored vehicles, UPS and FedX allowed to break the law? Why don't the businesses they are delivering to do something to help their handicap customers?

Just food for thought. Now lets the haters comments begin.
