Movies in the Park- week eight winner.

We had a great time during our eighth and final week of our Summer Movies in the Park series.

🏆Congratulations to our lucky winners. Our first winner was Alexus, she won a 5 in 1 tabletop game set. Our second winners were Jada, Leonardo, Juliana, and Isaac, and they won a 4 in 1 combo gaming table.

We're screening "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie " at Lion's Town & Country Park Amphitheater (2300 Howard Road). Movie starts at dusk, around 8:00pm–8:30pm.

Bring a blanket or chair and some bug spray — grass seating, free admission. Concessions available, cash only.

Grab your fishing poles 🎣 and join us for our annual Fall Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Madera Municipal Golf Course.

The event is free for youth ages 3 to 15. Prizes will be awarded for the heaviest fish in each age group.

Registration begins at 5:30 a.m. on the day of the event, with the first cast at 6:30 a.m.

Don’t miss out on this catch-and-release-only experience!

*No fishing is permitted at the Madera Municipal Golf Course outside of the fishing derby.

During our seventh week, we had a special guest join us to give the City a very special gift.

Pacific Gas and Electric stopped by to present the City with a $10,000 check to help sponsor our Movies in the Park events. This generous funding helps make these community event possible, and we are incredibly grateful for their support
