🚭 No smoking or va**ng on the beach (ci**rs only)
🐕 Service animals only
🍺 Alcohol is permitted, but no glass containers
🚲 Nonmotorized bicycles only- no electric bikes on the beach
🏰 Enjoy sandcastles and treasure hunting, but please fill in any holes before you leave

🌊 Remember: Small actions make a big difference! Pick up your trash, respect wildlife, and leave no trace behind.

Together, we can keep Madeira Beach beautiful for residents, visitors, and future generations. 💙

☀️🌡️ Beat the Heat This Summer! 🌡️☀️

Florida summers can be beautiful, but they can also be dangerous. Stay safe and protect yourself and your loved ones with these simple heat safety tips:

💧 Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
🧢 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and a wide-brimmed hat.
🌳 Take frequent breaks in the shade or air-conditioned spaces.
⏰ Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day (10 AM–4 PM).
🚗 Never leave children, older adults, or pets in a parked vehicle, not even for a minute!
👵 Check in on neighbors, friends, and family members who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.
🐾 Don't forget your pets! Make sure they have fresh water, shade, and avoid walking them on hot pavement.

⚠️ Know the signs of heat-related illness. If someone becomes confused, loses consciousness, or has a body temperature above 103°F, call 911 immediately.

🌀 Hurricane Season is Here, Plan Ahead! 🌀

If you have a Portable Storage Unit (PSU) on your property, now is the time to prepare.

⚠️ When weather advisories predict sustained winds of 75 mph or greater, all portable storage units must be removed at least 24 hours before the expected onset of those winds (or as soon as reasonably possible if less notice is provided).

✅ Help protect your belongings.
✅ Help keep our community safe.
✅ Keep your storage unit provider's contact information in an easy-to-access place so you're ready if a storm approaches.

In observance of Juneteenth, City Hall and Recreation facilities will be closed today, Friday, June 19, 2026.

✅ Emergency Services will remain fully operational.
✅ Sanitation services will operate on their normal schedule.
✅ The Marina will be open during normal business hours.

City Hall and Recreation facilities will resume regular business hours on Monday, June 22.

As we commemorate Juneteenth, we honor the significance of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward equality. ❤️💛💚
