Madawaska Fire Department - Offical Page The Madawaska Fire Department is served by dedicated volunteers consisting of 44 members and 6 student firefighters.

Of the 44 members, 19 are Hazardous Materials Technicians to respond to hazardous spills/contamination, confined spaces emergencies and rescues. With respect to apparatus, Madawaska has four Class A pumpers with a total pumping capacity of 4,750 gallons per minute and five water supply tankers with water capacity of 16,450 gallons. The department has a Haz-Mat truck and two 4-wheel drive support v

ehicles. Businesses and homeowners in the total 72 square miles in Madawaska currently enjoy the benefits of a Class 5 insurance classification.

Only 90 tickets left! Come down and get them while you can!!!

Also, we will have a boot to collect donations to go to our brothers and sisters in fire in Searsmont and surrounding communities that were affected by a devastating fire a few weeks ago. All donations will go to those firefighters recovering from injuries sustained in the line of duty and to the family of fallen firefighter Andrew Cross. Thank you in advance for any donations.

You might notice firetrucks driving around town today. No worries, we are just conducting driver training. Lights and sirens will not be used during the training. We do this from time to time to ensure firefighters stay familiar with the trucks and how each operates. Picture is just for attention ( I hope).
