Umonhon Nation (Omaha Nation) Public School is located in Macy, Nebraska, the center of Tribal Government for the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. Macy, an unicorporated town of about 1,550 is about 33 miles

southeast of Sioux City, Iowa and about 70 miles northwest of Omaha, near the Missouri River. The K-12 school has a student population of approximately 435, 99% of whom are Native American. A main building and four outlying buildings are divided into three grade levels: K-5 (elementary), 6-7-8 (middle school) and 9-12 (high school). Omaha Nation is a school-wide Title I school and has Success for All Reading and Math in the elementary school and Expeditionary Learning in the high school as Comprehensive School Reform projects.

Congrats to Cross Country runners Aaliyah Freemont and Robert Standing Soldier!

Coach Vogt believes Aaliyah set the Omaha Nation girls cross country record with a run of 25:22! Awesome work Aaliyah!

Robert placed 12th overall in the boys race, a truly incredible feat for our freshman runner!

Coach Vogt said that Kamry and Thunder both ran hard in their races and are continuing to improve!

Sixth-grade students in Mrs. Webster’s and Mr. Cournoyer’s classes have spent the past couple of weeks developing and practicing their sewing skills. They are now putting those skills into action by constructing their own powwow lap blanket quilts. This hands-on project allows students to build practical sewing skills while creating something meaningful that connects learning, creativity, and culture.

Cross Country is in Laurel this morning for their second meet of the season!

Junior High Volleyball kicks off their season this afternoon with a 2:30 match !

Varsity Football is tonight for a 7pm kick-off! Gate is $6 for adults and $5 for students.
