Lower Macungie Township converted to a First Class Township in 2008 and is an exceptionally attractive and strategically positioned community. It is approximately 55 miles northwest of Philadelphia and 90 miles west of New York City. The Township currently encompasses 22.9 square miles and is home to over 31,000 people. It is characterized as a residential suburban community with immediate access

to exceptional educational resources, open space, farmlands, and the Little Lehigh Creek, creating a most attractive living environment for all. Lower Macungie Township established this page to encourage an interactive dialogue between residents and Township officials on Township issues. Hello Residents,

Below are a few reminders we’d like to pass along to you.

Pool: Come join us for the last weekend at the LMT Pool! It will be open Saturday, Sunday & Monday from noon to 7 p.m.

Trash/Recycling and Curbside Grass Collection: There is no collection on Labor Day, September 7th. All collections will operate on a one-day delay the entire week.

Township Facilities: The Township Offices, Community Center and Yard Waste Center will be closed on Labor Day Monday. The Yard Waste Center will be open its normal hours on Saturday and Sunday.
