Something to keep an eye on. Also now would be the time to check your emergency supplies for long term events. We will have to watch and see how this develops.

JUST IN: Tropical Depression Ten is expected to become a hurricane prior to landfall in Florida early Wednesday. Landfall could happen anywhere from Panama City to the Tampa area.

Wind and rain are expected in central Georgia on WEDNESDAY. More details coming here on my page, Meteorologist Alex Forbes, and on 13WMAZ.

Words cannot express how blessed we are for what they have done. Today is in honor of their great sacrifice. Thank you.

We are expecting some very cold temperatures at the end of the week. If you plan to be outdoors this weekend please be prepared for these cold temperatures as we could see wind chill temperatures in the single digits. Also remember our pets. These temperatures are no where near or normal and they will need warmer options. The upcoming conditions could cause patchy ice on our roadways so be careful.

Here is a narrative forecast from the GEMA State Meteorologist for the weekend.

“Some of the coldest air we’ve seen in nearly 5 years is expected to move into Georgia on Friday and continue through the weekend. There will be some light rain ahead of the cold front on Thursday night and early Friday morning, but at the moment it appears to be almost all rain. Some snow could mix in over the highest elevations of extreme north Georgia, but models are only showing trace amounts of snowfall accumulation in those areas.”

This is the current projected path of the storm as of 5:00. The white cone represents the predicted path of the center of the storm. So we can’t rule out bad weather for our area. Also Macon is currently at 75% capacity for the hotels through the weekend. This means we are gonna have a lot of extra people needing gas and food. So be prepared.

Please share this so everyone can see.
