Before school, a student approached Officer A. Greene with a special request! She needed a little help with her edges! 😎💇🏾‍♀️

Without hesitation, Officer Greene headed to her patrol car, grabbed her hair products, and got to work! 💁🏾‍♀️✨

It may seem like a small moment, but THIS is what relationship-building looks like. Being a School Resource Officer isn’t always about calls for service, safety, or enforcement. Sometimes it’s simply about being someone a student trusts enough to ask for help. 💙

Those small interactions can create some of the biggest connections.

And judging by the finished product… Officer Greene might need to add “Edge Control Specialist” to the résumé! 😂🙌

We would like to take a moment to recognize and thank our Interim Chief Latricia Gittens for continuing to show us what it truly means to lead from the front. 🙌

Leadership isn’t just about giving direction—it’s about being present, setting the example, stepping in when needed, and never asking your team to do something you aren’t willing to do yourself. Chief Gittens continues to demonstrate that through her actions, her support of our officers, and her commitment to the students and staff we serve. 💙

Thank you, Chief Gittens, for reminding us that the strongest leaders don’t simply stand in front of their team—they move forward with them. Your leadership, mentorship, and example are appreciated more than you know. 😌✨
