Georgia Army National Guardsman Capt. C. J. Smith, a logistics officer with the Macon-based 148th Brigade Support Battalion, is coordinating logistics with Troy Helms from the Georgia Forestry Commission and Russell Fowler from the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency to discuss pending support operations for our response to Hurricane Helene. We will continue to partner with GEMA/HS and local, state, and federal entities at the discretion of the Governor.
