A huge thanks to the employees of SunMark Community Bank for supporting Family Counseling Center of Central Georgia.

We are so grateful to the employees of SunMark Community Bank for choosing to invest in the well-being of our community through their Casual Cause Initiative.

As part of their Casual Cause tradition, SunMark employees give back every payday Friday by donating to a local organization. This June, their generosity resulted in a $350 donation to FCC, supporting our mission of providing accessible mental health services and strengthening families in our community.

COMPASSION IN ACTION!
IT STARTS WITH NARCAN. 💚

In recognition of overdose awareness, our staff member Jenkins participated in a Narcan training with iHOPE, Inc. The training focused on preparedness, compassion and knowing how to respond.

We believe that learning is even more valuable when we share it with others and bring some of what we learned back to our community.

So, what is Narcan?
Narcan® is a brand of naloxone. It can quickly reverse an opioid overdose and help restore normal breathing.

Know the signs of an opioid overdose:
• Slow or stopped breathing
• Cannot wake up
• Small pupils
• Gurgling or choking sounds
• Pale, gray, or blue skin

Know what to do:
💚 Give naloxone to the person with signs of an opioid overdose
📞 Call 911
🤝 Stay with the person until help arrives

Remember: Naloxone is an emergency response tool, but it is not a substitute for emergency medical care!! Always call 911.

A little room refresh!

Today, our crew stopped by Campus Clubs, Inc. to help get the room ready for mental health counseling sessions. Family Counseling Center of Central Georgia is grateful for our partnership with Campus Clubs and opportunity to break down barriers to accessing mental health care like time, transportation, and income.

The need is real as Georgia ranks 48th in access to mental health care. Together, we're making space for more children to get the support they need. Because mental health care should never feel out of reach 💚

Hello!!

May is mental health awareness month! At Family Counseling Center of Central Georgia we are so grateful for this time when the world highlights the importance of mental health and well being. However, we have a philosophy that every month is mental health awareness month. But, we will take every opportunity we can to spread awareness and decrease the continued stigma 💚

Join FCC and our friends at Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia, Inc. for this year's Take Back the Night in Recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month on Thursday at 6pm in Washington Park!

We are so grateful to be one of the selected organizations supported through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program that provide critical services across Macon-Bibb ⭐

This grant allows us to see moderate to low income individuals and families for free. These are our community members who would not be able to afford mental health counseling otherwise making counseling accessible despite someone’s income.
