It’s a beautiful day in Macon+Bibb County! Come out and enjoy the Pleasant Hill May Day Celebration ☀️☀️☀️’

Pleasant Hill’s historic May Day celebration is back tomorrow, Saturday, May 16!

For more than a century, this tradition has brought neighbors together through community, culture, and connection, and now it’s returning to Mattie Hubbard Park for the first time in years.

📍 Mattie Hubbard Park (1944 2nd Ave.) | Saturday, May 16 | 1 – 4pm

Enjoy music, activities, local resources, fellowship, and more, with free yoga beginning at 1pm.

This year’s celebration is made possible through the work of Reimagining Community Connections (RCC) Mini Grant recipients Monica Miller and JaCory Marcus, who helped bring the historic event back to the neighborhood.

Hello!!

May is mental health awareness month! At Family Counseling Center of Central Georgia we are so grateful for this time when the world highlights the importance of mental health and well being. However, we have a philosophy that every month is mental health awareness month. But, we will take every opportunity we can to spread awareness and decrease the continued stigma 💚

Join FCC and our friends at Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia, Inc. for this year's Take Back the Night in Recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month on Thursday at 6pm in Washington Park!

We are so grateful to be one of the selected organizations supported through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program that provide critical services across Macon-Bibb ⭐

This grant allows us to see moderate to low income individuals and families for free. These are our community members who would not be able to afford mental health counseling otherwise making counseling accessible despite someone’s income.

Family Counseling Center of Central Georgia joins Action for Happiness to celebrate International Day of Happiness! This year's theme is the association between social media and wellbeing.

We are particularly interested in the part about how social media impacts happiness of our youth! Very interesting!
