If you have experienced low or loss of water pressure in your area, there will be a 48-hour boil advisory once water is restored. The advisory is due to the time required for testing to confirm water quality.

During a boil advisory, water used for consumption should be brought to rolling boil for 3 minutes and then allowed to cool before consuming.

06/19/26 3:00 pm - The MMU crew has fixed the issue and all power has been restored.

MMU’s electric crew has found the cause of a small outage around Prospect, Re*****on, Stratford, Saxony and Wellington. To fix the issue they will be working in the area this afternoon and will need to turn off power to a larger area to safely fix the issue. Additional updates will be given when more specifics become available.

The MMU Underground crew finished the installation of new water main along Gieselman Drive and Holman Lane. To finalize the project and connect customers to the new main, water will be shut off Thursday, June 4 from approximately 8-4. A map of the affected residences is included.

Update 05/21/26 - Midwest Infrastructure Coatings is arriving in Macon today and will begin work Friday, May 22.

MMU keeps the sewer main system updated by lining sections of main or manholes every year. Midwest Infrastructure Coatings will be in town this week to start lining manholes. If you have any question please give us a call.
