Statement from John F . Kennedy:
The people of Georgia have spoken, and their decision deserves our respect. It has it — because keeping this office in Republican hands and defeating the Democrats in November is bigger than any one of us.
To the volunteers who gave up their evenings and weekends, to the staff who poured their hearts into this campaign, and to the supporters who believed in this vision from day one, thank you. Words will never be enough.
Susan, our children, and our whole family, none of this was possible without you. You carried me through every mile of this race, and I love you more than I can ever say.
Serving the people of Georgia these last 11 years has been the honor of a lifetime, and that service does not end tonight. The work of keeping Georgia growing, learning, and safe is bigger than any one campaign, and the fight for hardworking Georgians goes on.
