We’re excited to welcome the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) team and the Special Operations Radio Team (SORT) to our 2026 Emergency Preparedness Fair! 📻

These incredible teams will be showcasing how emergency communications support communities before, during, and after disasters. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about:
• Amateur radio operations and emergency communications
• Mobile communication equipment and technology
• How radio teams assist during severe weather and disasters

Be sure to stop by and see firsthand how communications play a critical role in emergency preparedness and public safety!

Our amazing partners at the Bibb County Sheriff's Office will be out in full force this Saturday, May 30th - don’t miss your chance to connect with them at the 2026 Emergency Preparedness Fair!

Meet the deputies who work every day to keep our neighborhoods safe. They’ll be on-site to share important scam-prevention tips and public safety resources, and to help you learn how to stay protected in any emergency.

It’s also a great chance for kids (and adults!) to get to know our local law enforcement in a friendly, community-focused setting.

Last Mile Relief specializes in rapid disaster deployment, delivering critical supplies to hard-to-reach areas, supporting local communities during their most vulnerable moments, and working alongside local agencies and grassroots organizations to help bridge the gap between large-scale response and immediate local needs.
