Well, all good things must come to an end and it appears we lost N4EAR-1, the pico balloon launched by the Englewood Amateur Radio Club in Englewood, Fl (I am a member). Most likely taken out by a storm run and is no longer flying.
It was most likely taken out by a storm named Jangmi that was in the proximity of N4EAR. It has traveled 246893 KM or 153,468 miles. It was up for 103 days and 14 hours and made 6.682 laps around the globe.
It has sent 3483 data msgs overall. last position was at 44,025 ft and about 1200 miles SSE of Japan on a course to brush HI. Grid Square RM11PJ, last Lat 31.39567, Lon 163.29167.
It crossed 53 Countries and 34 states.
It was a great weak signal learning experience and a great kick off of our STEM support of Sky Academy and a great learning experience for the students and amateur radio.

We had a great meeting yesterday morning. Jack and Gary from Carthage joined us. Jim Merrill provided a second presentation of antenna and power options one would tend to overlook. Everything fits in two very well organized totes!
