Dallas City Elementary School, collaboration with Memorial Hospital and the Tracy Family Foundation, invites adult community members to participate in a meaningful seven-month book club series focused on The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt.

"An urgent and provocative read on why so many kids are not okay--and how to course correct. Jonathan Haidt makes a powerful case that the shift from play-based to phone-based childhoods is wreaking havoc on mental health and social development. Even if you're not ready to ban smartphones until high school, this book will challenge you to rethink how we nurture the potential in our kids and prepare them for the world."
----Adam Grant, author of Hidden Potential and Think Again, and host of TED podcast Re:Thinking

Do you have a child, niece, nephew, grandchild, or neighborhood kid who you interact with? If so, you've probably noticed the shift in childhood in recent history. Join this book study to learn how you can support the youth in our community as they navigate childhood with access to the digital world.

Make sure to register by August 12 to get your FREE copy of the book. Registration link: https://form.jotform.com/260833924936062
