Cindy's Riding Stable

Cindy's Riding Stable Family owned and operated seasonal horseback riding stable located conveniently downtown Mackinac Island, Michigan.

Formerly Chicago Riding Stable, Cindy's was purchased by William (Billy) Gough and renamed after his wife, Cindy. Today, it is owned and operated by Dale Gough, Billy's cousin, Theodore (Teddy) Gough, Billy and Cindy's son. Cindy's is open seasonally, with the season starting in early May and ending in mid-October. 4 of our saddle horses enjoying their winter pasture!

Some of our horses have made the move home, and the rest are soon to follow!

Our closing date for the season is Sunday, October 12!

The fall colors are beautiful right now, come enjoy them on horseback while you can!

*hint* ya have to look hard to find the fourth horse!

Happy Lilac Festival! Tomorrow is the end of the festival, which features the Grand Parade! We will be closing early to ready our horses for their debuts in the parade- we will send out our last ride at 1pm!

Do you know what tomorrow is?! Well in case ya don’t, it’s our opening day!

Tomorrow; Saturday, May 10th at 9am we are kickin off the 2025 season!

Today we did our annual ride out to the Cannonball Oasis and had a lovely lunch and enjoyed the sun!

W***y and Split asked to be in the group photo, so of course we gladly obliged!

Spring has sprung! We moved one of our herds of horses and there are only a couple Cindy’s horses in there, but this is pretty cool either way!

We open Saturday May 10, 2025 for the season!

Starting wage- $110/day plus tips

Schedule- 5 days per week

Housing- Dorm style with meals

Location- Mackinac Island MI

Typical daily job expectations- cleaning the barn, grooming and saddling horses and guiding guests through 75+ miles of trails in beautiful Mackinac Island State Park!

*Ideal applicants should be available June through Labor Day

The colors have definitely arrived!
