The Gates House of Machiasport. Circa 1810. The Gates House used to serve as a hub at one of Downeast Maine’s biggest ports of entry. Back in those days the railroad used to come right up to the building. Honored to be involved in the preservation of these beautiful windows so close to home. Some photos of ongoing work @ The Chapin Cottage, Campobello, New Brunswick, Canada. Circa 1929. Built from salvaged materials from hotels and cottages built during the Guilded Age. Photos show restored double hung window units, casement window units, old glass doors, screen windows and doors w/ copper screen, recreated moldings, and tuning the weights and pulleys.
