Good afternoon team,

Thank you to those that have already received their Flu Shot this season. Det 6 is currently sitting at 32% complete and we need your help to reach 100%!

Remember, you are not required to be in a status for your flu shot. If received off base, please submit your documentation to HQ RIO Medical via myFSS. The Detachments do not have access to update your medical records.

Your Go Red Date is 15 December 2024. Those who go overdue are subject to being placed in a "No Pay/No Points" status IAW DAFMAN 36-2136 1.7.2. Reservists with any expired individual medical readiness (IMR) requirement will not participate in any point-gaining activities other than a military medical/dental evaluation or examination consistent with DoDI 1215.06.

MPA OPPORTUNITY!

Are you or someone you know interested in spending time in Europe in 2025? Look no further! Special Operations Command Europe is looking for two AF Reservists to perform MPA tours beginning in Jan, going through the end of FY25.

After a 3-week surge at ARPC, we were able to action on thousands of applications that were in the queue. 📑

Here's another insider look/update 👀 into ARPC timelines for military reserve retirements:

➖ Regular “AD” Retirements (aka 2️⃣0️⃣ yrs TAFMS):
▪️ Goal: Complete within 60 days of receipt
▪️ Reality: We are ahead and working July 2025 Retirement Effective Date (RED) applications 🙌

➖ Reserve Retirements (non-regular Retirement):
▪️ Goal: Complete within 60 days of receipt
▪️ Reality: Working apps within 25 business days of receipt 🙌

➖ RRPA & Age 6️0 (Pay Age):
▪️ Goal: Complete within 6-9 months of receipt
▪️ Reality: We are currently QC’ing June-September 2024 applications and processing May-September 2024 applications 👍

➖ Points Management: 🔢
▪️ Goal: 60 days of Receipt
▪️ Reality: Working on June 2024 inquiries

➖ Retirement DD214s: 📄
▪️ Goal: 60 days of Receipt
▪️ Reality: Currently working October/November 2024 Retirement 214s 👍

➖ Retirement Certificates/Pin/Flag: 📜
▪️ Goal: Provide 45 days prior to ceremony date
▪️ Reality: Still on pause (from January ceremony dates) due to backorder of the Certs of Retirement (DD Form 363) & Certs of Appreciation for Spouses (AF Form 1344). ARPC is unable to ship these artifacts at this time until receipt. 👍
▪️ Retirement Certificates are a controlled item from an external agency, much like decoration certificates, we have no control over their production and distribution.

Subject: AROWS-R Accessibility Issues

BLUF: AROWS-R continues to present accessibility issues for members attempting to access the system on personal devices via commercial Internet Service Providers (i.e. .com) and non-Air Force networks.

POC: The AROWS-R help desk at [email protected] or 877-294-5822. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 0700-2100 ET, excluding federal holidays.

1. AROWS-R accessibility issues are affecting TRs and IMAs who are unable to utilize Desktop Anywhere or VPN to access the site. The AROWS-R team is aware and working the issue, however there is not a get-well date currently.

2. Users are still able to access AROWS-R through Desktop Anywhere, USAF VPN, JRSS VPN, and NIPR-connected computers on an Air Force network.

3. If the above access methods are not an option, a work around for users is to have supervisors manually sign the orders or 40A form (either digital or wet) and submit for processing via a myFSS ticket.

Team, we still have 735 Det 6 members who have not built their FY25 IDTs in UTAPS. Please build and submit your schedule ASAP. Remember, this is to allocate FY25 funding.

If you’re using the AROWS-R pass-through and are having connectivity issues, it’s been confirmed that USAF VPN and DA VMWare works.

Huge shoutout to the 927 SFS 🤝

When some of our Det 6 Staff members were no longer able to attend a volunteering event, they stepped up last minute to fill those spots. Together we spent the afternoon walking (and loving on) over 20 dogs at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. 🐾

Good morning team,

Friendly reminder that all IMAs are required to build their FY25 IDT schedule in UTAPS by next Thursday, 15 August 2024.

Once IDTs are built in the system, those funds will be allocated. Then the “extra” funding from members not participating can be reallocated. This is crucial for the budget and that’s the “why” behind the 15 August deadline each year.
