SOCOM Technical Experimentation TE provides a unique opportunity for developers, academia, and government labs to interact with the SOF community in a collaborative environment.

•US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) conducts Technical Experimentation (TE) events throughout the United States with Government, academia, and private industry representation.
•TE provides a unique opportunity for developers to interact with the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community in a collaborative environment.
•TE identifies potential Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 3 or greate

r technology solutions, impacts, limitations, and utilities to meet SOF technical objectives and thrust areas.
•This is NOT a marketing or trade show event, so bring your engineers!
•TE is not an acquisition event, nor has any ability to create a new contractual obligation.

TE MG MUA and PEO Scenario Experiments were completed on 25 Mar 2021 and we would like to thank all participants for two super events. TE 21-2, themed- Next Generation Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance/Tactically Relevant Situational Awareness, will be held at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center and Jefferson Proving Ground in Indiana on 22-24 June. Participants in this event have already been notified/invited.

COVID-19. Leading up to and during the event, the TE team will continuously monitor any COVID travel restrictions and local conditions at the event site. Any changes to the event schedule or local conditions will be promulgated as required.

The TE Team wants to let you know that the RFI for Technical Experimentation Event 21-2 has been released on beta.sam.gov and will close on 7 January 2021. TE21-2 will be held at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Camp Atterbury, and Jefferson Proving Ground IN. and has the theme of Next Generation Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance/Tactically Relevant Situational Awareness, Assault Machine Gun, and Spotting Ammunition.
If you have any technologies you would like to see at the event, please have them go to beta.sam.gov for submission instructions before the deadline of 7 January 2021.

Due to increasing travel restrictions associated with concern about the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we regrettably have to cancel the upcoming combined TE 20-2/TE20-3 event scheduled for 13-17 July at Avon Park, FL. We appreciate everyone’s effort up to this point, and are disappointed to cause any inconvenience, but have no real option to move forward with the current schedule. We will, however, immediately start looking at other options to include either future smaller TE events or virtual demonstrations. Our goal remains to ensure that we are able to bring new technologies, operational users, and government program offices together. We will keep you updated on our plans as the situation develops.

Due to increasing travel restrictions associated with COVID-19, we unfortunately have to cancel TE 20-2/3, scheduled for 13-17 July at Avon Park, FL. We will immedialtely start planning on other ways to bring new technology, operational users and program offices together.

Due to increasing concern about the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and associated travel restrictions, we regrettably have to cancel the upcoming TE 20-2 and Light Weight Machine Gun Military Utility Assessment scheduled for 16-27 March in Camp Atterbury and MUTC Indiana. We appreciate everyone’s effort up to this point, and are disappointed to cause any inconvenience, but have no real option to move forward with the current schedule. We will, however, immediately start looking at options to either include the technologies intended for demonstration at this event into future scheduled TE events or create a venue or venues to make sure that we are able to bring your new technologies, operational users, and government program offices together. We will keep you updated on our plans as the situation develops.
