The project’s 90% construction plans have been submitted to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). County staff, FWC, engineers and the construction team recently met to address FWC’s questions, with no major concerns identified at this time. Construction is still anticipated to begin in October.
💰 Impact Fee & Special Assessment Study
Work continues on the County’s impact fee and special assessment study. The current study includes six potential impact fee areas—transportation, schools, recreation/parks, fire rescue, emergency medical services and law enforcement—along with a solid waste special assessment. Results of the study are currently anticipated to be presented to the Board in January.
