It’s Senior Defense Week! 8 of the 16 Seniors from 2025 have passed their Defenses….. they present a self study focusing on experiential learning through Past Present and Future using the Thoeretical Framework Currere and Methodology of Counter-Story/Narratives and Artistic Data displays.

Today was a great celebration! Our first College Symposium and Holiday Gathering. We were able to welcome back some of our college students and ask questions about college life. Many moments were shared. But the biggest word that kept coming up was “opportunity” each student spoke about not being afraid to take advantage of every opportunity that applies to them. Warm hugs, belly laughs and joy. Happy Holidays from The STEAM Academy for Advanced Academics!!!

This year the STEAM Academy will be taking a trip to Costa Rica! Each month we will showcase one of our students attending.

Meet Devynne, she is a stellar student with an amazing GPA! She is ranked among the top 25 students in her class. A member of Black Students Union and Earth Tomorrow. Devynne has participated in STEAM for 4 years and say that the best part of STEAM is “the curated experiences, internships and field trips that supplement classroom learning”.
