An already established player in the life sciences sector, Seattle recorded 1.8 million square feet of lab space construction starts across nine properties between 2019 and October 2024, 1.0 percent of its total inventory. While no new projects broke ground in 2024 or 2023, 2022 saw developers start on 1.1 million square feet across five properties.

Max Frame of the Simon Anderson team, a multifamily investment team at Kidder Mathews, successfully closed two apartment sales in Spokane, Washington this week. The properties included Coventry Estates and Lincoln Place.

Frame represented the owner in selling both properties to one buyer. Totaling $7,623,000, this portfolio sale demonstrates the growing demand in Eastern Washington’s dynamic multifamily market.

Tapa Spokane LLC, a Bellevue, Washington-based development company, is planning three new buildings in Spokane Valley for a project dubbed Tapa Business Park Barker Road, permit information on file with the city of Spokane Valley shows.

Three warehouses with office space will be constructed on over 2-acres of vacant land zoned for industrial use. The site is located at the northeast corner of North Barker Road and East Euclid Avenue, at 18713, 18809, and 18815 E. Euclid.
