🇺🇿🤝🇺🇸 Presented Uzbekistan’s growing economic and investment opportunities during a fireside chat at a Keiretsu Forum Seattle Chapter Meeting.

Highlighted the country’s ongoing economic transformation, improving business environment, expanding private sector, and the opportunities emerging across technology, manufacturing, energy, healthcare, agriculture, and other high-growth industries.

Invited American companies, investors, and entrepreneurs to look at Uzbekistan not only as a new market, but as a reliable long-term partner to invest, establish business operations, and build direct cooperation with Uzbek companies and innovators.

Our message is simple: Uzbekistan is open for business, open for partnerships, and ready to work with the Pacific Northwest.

We look forward to helping turn new connections into practical projects between American and Uzbek businesses.

📚🇺🇿🤝🇺🇸 Kitoblar xalqlar o‘rtasida ko‘prik quradi.

Sietl jamoat kutubxonasi ijrochi direktori va bosh kutubxonachisi Tom Fay hamda institutsional va strategik rivojlanish bo‘yicha direktor Rick Sheridan bilan yangi madaniy va ta’limiy hamkorlik istiqbollarini muhokama qilishdan mamnun bo‘ldik.

Amaliy ilk qadam sifatida Bosh konsulxona kutubxona fondiga o‘zbek adabiyoti, tarixi va milliy madaniyatini aks ettiruvchi 10 ta kitob taqdim etdi. Ular orasida Abdulla Qodiriy, Pirimqul Qodirov, Odil Yoqubov, O‘tkir Hoshimov va Xudoyberdi To‘xtaboyev asarlari ham bor.

Shuningdek, kutubxonaning o‘zbek kitoblari fondini kengaytirish, O‘zbekiston kutubxonalari bilan to‘g‘ridan-to‘g‘ri hamkorlik o‘rnatish, ko‘rgazmalar va “O‘zbekiston adabiyoti haftaligi”ni tashkil etish, shuningdek Markaziy kutubxonada aks ettirilgan ko‘plab tillar qatoriga o‘zbek tilidagi so‘z yoki iborani ham kiritish masalalari muhokama qilindi.

Ushbu mazmunli hamkorlik O‘zbekistonning boy adabiy merosini Sietl kitobxonlariga yanada yaqinlashtirishga hamda Toshkent va Sietl o‘rtasidagi tarixiy qardosh shahar aloqalariga yangi madaniy mazmun bag‘ishlashga xizmat qiladi.

📚🇺🇿🤝🇺🇸 Books build bridges.

It was a pleasure to meet with The Seattle Public Library Executive Director and Chief Librarian Tom Fay and Director of Institutional and Strategic Advancement Rick Sheridan to discuss new cultural and educational cooperation.

As a practical first step, the Consulate General donated 10 books representing Uzbek literature, history, and national culture to the Library’s collection, including works by Abdulla Kodiriy, Pirimkul Kodirov, Odil Yokubov, Utkir Kjoshimov, and Khudoyberdi Tukhtaboyev.

We also explored expanding the Library’s collection of Uzbek books, establishing direct partnerships with libraries in Uzbekistan, organizing exhibitions and an Uzbekistan Literature Week, and including an Uzbek word or phrase among the many languages displayed at the Central Library.

This meaningful cooperation will bring Uzbekistan’s rich literary heritage closer to Seattle readers and add a new cultural dimension to the historic sister-city ties between Tashkent and Seattle.

🇺🇿🤝🇺🇸 Bosh konsulxonada o‘zbek milliy raqs san’atining fidoyi targ‘ibotchisi, professor Laurel Victoria Gray bilan uchrashdik.

Muloqot davomida o‘zbek raqslarini AQShda keng targ‘ib etish, shuningdek, ushbu bebaho san’atga bag‘ishlangan ilmiy maqola va kitoblar yaratish istiqbollarini muhokama qildik.

L.Grey 2027-yilda AQShda bir haftalik o‘zbek raqs lagerini tashkil etish va uning dasturlaridan birini Sietlda o‘tkazish istagini bildirdi. Milliy madaniy merosimizni tanitish va xalqlarimizni yanada yaqinlashtirishga xizmat qiladigan ushbu tashabbusni qo‘llab-quvvatlashga tayyormiz.

Congratulations to the Republic of Uzbekistan on the opening of its first Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the State of Washington 🇺🇿 🇺🇸

The Seattle-Tashkent Sister City Association was honored to take part in the official opening ceremony on September 4th — a historic moment not only for Washington, but for the entire West Coast, as this is Uzbekistan's first consulate in the region.

Our special thanks to Consul General Akhror Burkhanov and his entire team for their warm hospitality and for the tremendous work that brought this milestone to life.

Seattle and Tashkent have been sister cities since 1973 — the first sister city partnership of its kind ever formed. More than fifty years later, the opening of this Consulate begins an exciting new chapter for our two communities.

We look forward to everything we will build together. 🎉
