***VEHICLES WILL NOT BE TOWED FOR THE CRACK SEALING*** This will be addressed with pavement solutions!!

The Town of Lynn will be crack sealing All of West Church Street and East Church Street along with West Sherman Street. Pavement Solutions, the company contracted for the work, will be going around this evening March 25th and placing NO PARKING signs along the streets. We kindly ask that you move your vehicles off of the above Streets as they plan to be here Tomorrow March 26th to start the Crack Sealing. They know this is short notice but they plan to be here around 8:00 am, weather permitting as it works in thier schedule.

We will further be Micro paving/Slurry sealing these streets at a later time and 2 weeks notice will be given to assure all vehicles are moved and cleared from the Streets.

We thank you as we strive to maintain our streets for our residents!

The Lynn Police Department would like to thank the United States Deputy Sheriff's Association for their generous grant/donation of a 14x24 Mini Rifle Shield. This donation will help keep our officers and our citizens safe in dangerous situations. We appreciate the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association and the work they do that help departments in need. Officers with this equipment will be better prepared should a dangerous situation arise.

The Town of Lynn will be testing our New Tornado Siren today at 10:15. This will only be a test!!

🌪️ State wide Tornado Drill🌪️

🚨Every Hoosier business, school and family should participate in the statewide tornado drill each year. The drill allows you to practice where to go, what to do and what to take so you are prepared in the event of a real tornado warning.🚨

At about 10:15 a.m. Eastern on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, NWS will issue a test tornado warning alert, which will be shared through most notification systems, including the statewide Emergency Alert System (EAS).

Wherever you are at that time, practice your tornado safety plan. There will be no follow-up alerts issued by the NWS to mark the end of the statewide tornado drill. It ends when your business, school or family feels that you have adequately practiced your safety procedures.
