Metropolitan Beaches Commission Co-Chairs Senator Tom McGee of Lynn and Rep. RoseLee Vincent of Revere invite you to share your thoughts on the state of our public beaches in Lynn and Nahant at a public hearing on Saturday morning, November 7th from 10:00 am to noon at the Lynn Housing Authority and Neighborhood Development, Community Room, 10 Church Street, Lynn.

You will have a chance to meet the legislative and community members of the Metropolitan Beaches Commission and share your thoughts on what is working well and what still needs improvement on public beaches in Lynn and Nahant.

Since the Commission was created in 2008 there have been important improvements on the region’s public beaches from Nahant to Nantasket, including more free programs, the completion of the Nahant Causeway and the opening of the Ward Bathhouse, but there is still more work to do. You can download a copy of the Commission’s most recent report “Waves of Change” here.

Please RSVP to [email protected] or call 617-451-2860 ext. 1001

Horseshoe crabs (sometimes known as "living fossils") are unique and prehistoric animals dating back millions of years. Did you know that they're not crabs at all?
