The LCS Safety Patrol recently enjoyed an educational field trip to the Orleans County Marine Park. Students learned about water safety, boating regulations & the important role the Orleans Co. Sheriff's Marine Patrol plays in protecting the waterways. A highlight of the trip was taking a boat ride with the marine patrol, giving students a firsthand look at how officers patrol local waters & respond to emergencies. The visit provided a unique opportunity to explore marine patrol equipment, meet law enforcement officers, & gain a greater appreciation for public service & safety. It was a memorable experience that rewarded students for their leadership & commitment to keeping the school community safe.

📊What does the tax levy increase mean?

The proposed 2026-27 budget includes a 2.5% increase to the tax levy.

For homeowners, that represents an average tax bill increase of approximately 29 cents per $1,000 of assessed value. For a home assessed at $100,000, that equals about $29 per year.

Want to see how the proposed tax levy increase could affect your property? Visit our website and use the tax levy calculator to estimate the change to your tax bill.

Understanding how school budgets affect taxpayers is an important part of the voting process. We encourage residents to review the budget information available on our website and stay informed ahead of the June 16 revote.
