What a weekend and what a season 🔥 LHS Track finished out their season strong at the 2026 KSHSAA State Track and Field Championship. They fought against some tough weather and a late night, and we are proud to say they gave it their all. Here are some 2026 State Track Results from your very own Lyndon Tigers!
▪️Charleigh Bean, Jaedyn Segrist, Trysten Sowers, and Lexi Totty are your 2026 2A 4x4 STATE CHAMPIONS!! With a time of 4:04.20, not only did these girls take the podium with 1st place, but they beat their own school record one last time together!! 🧡🖤
▪️These girls didn't stop there, also taking down their own 4x1 school record with a new time of 50.23 and a 4th place finish!
▪️Trysten Sowers kept the record-breaking rolling, placing 4th in the open 400, breaking her own previously held school record with a new time of 58.60!
▪️Zach Criqui brings home 3rd in the open 400, taking down the previous school record held since 2008, now with his name and a new time of 49.98!!
▪️Lexi Totty jumps 10'0" in Pole Vault, giving her a 4th place state finish, and also breaking her own school record!!
▪️Asher Edington takes the podium twice, finishing 4th place in the open 200 with a time of 22.34, and 7th place in the open 100 with a time of 11.22!
▪️Lucas Griffin finishes his high school year in Pole Vault, with a jump of 12'6" and an 8th place finish!
▪️Cason Rhoads got his first podium appearance, placing 5th in the high jump with a jump of 6'2" and was just shy of making it again, finishing 9th in the open 400 with a time of 51.87. Cason also competed in triple jump, jumping 41-1.75, finishing 14th.
▪️Phoebe Wright competed in high jump, finishing with a jump of 4'10" and an 8th place podium appearance!
▪️Lyric Medina placed 11th in the javelin with a throw of 155-9.
▪️James Marcotte finished 16th in the triple jump with a jump of 41-0.75.
▪️Kendall Wine finished 14th in the open 800 with a time of 2:07.37.
▪️James Chauncey finished 14th in shot put with a final throw of 41-4.
▪️Out of 43 2A boys teams, Lyndon Boys finished 14th as a team, and the Lyndon Girls team finished 13th out of 38 2A girls teams.
Proud is an understatement for our LHS Track Team. The entire team has had an unforgettable season with multiple PRs, School Records, Regional Champion Titles, and State Finishes. Shoutout to Coach Hart, Coach Roe, and Coach Spinks for the countless hours, personal time, and energy that they have poured into this season and each athlete. Seniors, we are thankful for what you have poured into this program as well. Congratulations again to our 2A 4x4 State Champions, and to each of our athletes who gave it their all this season. We are proud of you. Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger. 🐾🧡
