Building shoring for the vehicles is an important aspect of getting the vehicle shipped via plane. These blocks of wood are assembled to specific dimensions given to us from the Air Force and are designed to fit under the front and rear bumpers. They are built to come within 1” of the bumpers then the vehicles are strapped down onto the wood. This prevents the vehicles weight from shifting during flight. Here, SSG O’Neill and SPC Ordonez are knocking out shoring for an FLA getting ready to board a C-130.
