A lot of learning and FUN has taken place in Pre-K this past month!!
••Letter S—Sunglasses Day! 🕶️
••Letter A—Ambulance Tour with our increible EMS team who taught us so many interesting facts! 🚑
••Letter A—Agriculture Day with the wonderful FFA team from MCHS! They taught us the importance of Agriculture in our day to day lives, taught us different farm animals sounds, and even colored with us! 🌾🧑‍🌾🚜
••Letter T—Teddy Bear Day! Each friend brought in their favorite teddy bear & did show and tell! 🧸
••Letter I—Ice Cream Day! Each student got to make their own ice cream sundae 🍦🍨
••Each week, we focus on one color, and our class has a day where we all where clothes for the Color of the Week! ❤️🧡💛💚
••Our class has been learning about the 5 Senses—Taste, Smell, Touch, See, and Hear
As we explored the senses, each kid brought in their favorite snack to share for our “Taste Test Experiment.” We had a great variety of salty, sweet, and sour snacks! 🥨🍿🍭🍪🍫🍬🍋🍋‍🟩

The Moore County Board of Education will meet in regular session in the Moore County Department of Education Building on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The board may meet in a work session following this meeting. These meetings are open to the public. You can view a copy of the agenda at board.moorecountyschools.net

The ASVAB test will be given tomorrow to ALL 11th grade students and any 12th grader who did not test last year. Students need to be at school by 7:50 tomorrow morning! Please do not be late and make sure to eat a good breakfast!

Mrs. Awalt's 2nd grade class combined a good behavior celebration with a reading connection. They recently filled their "compliment star jar" and celebrated with a SNACK MIX PARTY.
Students read a story this week that included the main character enjoying a snack mix, so creating their own just made this celebration even sweeter.

Dear School Community,
Last night, a safety concern was reported and promptly addressed by the Sheriff's office. I want to assure you that learning continues in a safe environment across our school system. We are grateful to our local law enforcement and state troopers for their presence this morning as we began the school day.

We are grateful to those who brought this matter to the attention of our administrators and the Sheriff's office. Your commitment to our shared responsibility for school safety is deeply appreciated.
