As Dearington Hills evolves into Blackwater Hills, one thing isn't changing: our commitment to keeping residents informed, supported, and connected throughout the redevelopment process.

We've heard a lot of questions lately and understand that when information travels from porch to porch, apartment to apartment, or neighbor to neighbor, details can sometimes get a little mixed up. 😊

Here are a few important things residents should know:

• Rent will continue to be based on income
• There is no cost to residents for relocation assistance
• Accessible housing options will be available throughout the community
• Eligible residents may have the opportunity to return after redevelopment is complete

Every household's situation is unique, and that's why LRHA staff remains available to answer questions and discuss individual circumstances one-on-one.

Questions? We're always happy to help. Sometimes the best source is straight from the source.

Starting today, we’re beginning outreach to Phase I residents of Dearington Hills to schedule one-on-one relocation meetings.

Each household will be contacted directly by staff to set a time that works best for you. These meetings are designed to give you dedicated time with a relocation specialist to walk through your options, ask questions, and feel confident about your next steps.

This process is centered around you, your needs, your timeline, and your future home.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact the relocation team at [email protected] or Ms. Cynthia Jones at [email protected]

As we prepare for redevelopment in Dearington beginning this summer, LRHA is continuing direct outreach and support for residents on Hunt, Lovell, and Pulaski Streets as the first phase of the process.

Our team is actively working with these households to ensure every family has the information, resources, and guidance they need well before that time arrives.

If you're a resident on Hunt, Lovell, or Pulaski Street and haven't had a chance to attend our previous relocation meetings, now is the time to connect with LRHA staff.

Please reach out to your Ross coordinator or the Dearington property office directly with any follow ups, questions, or concerns.
