Acceptable Use Policy
The purpose of this page is for the Central Virginia Planning District Commission to inform visitors of efforts of local and state interests such as economic development, planning, public transportation, and workforce development within Region 2000 (PDC #11) which is defined as the 2,000 square miles that surround Lynchburg, Virginia. Because we work closely with a
wide network of organizations, we will periodically share relevant information from our collaborative partners including, but not limited to, news stories and press releases or other content that we think may be of interest to our visitors. We encourage you to like, share, or post comments and questions to the page. Doing so allows us to engage with our visitors as well as provide them with feedback. This page is moderated during normal business hours and we strive to respond to your comments and questions in a timely manner. We want to create an engaging and safe environment for visitors. Therefore, we have established a policy in regards to comments and pictures that are posted by visitors to the page of the Central Virginia Planning District Commission. Our Communications Team has the right to remove any posts that contain the following:
1. Offensive and derogatory language;
2. Language that is discriminatory towards one’s race or ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability;
3. Offensive remarks towards other visitors on the page;
4. SPAM of any kind or other content determined to be irrelevant;
5. Comments with content that promotes a product or service that are unaffiliated with the organization and any other form of advertising; and
6. Posts not covered explicitly above, but which are inappropriate. This page is managed by the Communications Team of the Central Virginia Planning District Commission. A number of staff are Administrators and can post as “Central Virginia Planning District Commission”.
