We are still looking for parent and family member volunteers for our book fair week 9/28/2026-10/2/2026. Even an hour of your time will make a difference! A sign-up link was sent within Dr. Boyles’ Friday Family Bulletin on Sept. 11th. Please reach out directly to the PTO if you need the sign-up link.

Volunteer requirements are simple and include:
-Help students shop or browse
-Keep the book shelves and tables neatly organized
-Restock items accordingly
-Check out and bag purchased items
-Any additional needs of the librarian

‼️ ATTENTION LEGO LOVERS‼️

The LEGO club runs Mondays from September 14th through November 9th, from 3:35 to 4:45p.m., and is open to students in grades K-5.
➡️Students will participate in weekly building and coding challenges using LEGO Education kits, motors, sensors, and smart hubs, as well as Scratch-based programming to bring their LEGO models to life.
➡️The instructor is Lindsay Klein, a K–4 educator with 16 years of experience, a master’s degree in Education and Reading, and a Virginia teaching license.
➡️Registration is open for 16 students at a total cost of $150 for seven sessions.
➡️To register, email [email protected] with the child’s name, grade level, homeroom teacher, and a contact phone number.
➡️Payment may be made through Venmo or personal check.

Our Fall Fundraiser will be coming home this week in Tuesday folders! The fundraiser will be held 8/25/2026-9/8/2026. Be on the lookout for the fundraiser packet and reach out with any questions. All funds raised go right back to support our school!

Help us wish our Assistant Principal, Mr. Marks, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

His office has been wrapped from floor to ceiling in birthday fun! We are so grateful for all he does to make our school a wonderful place for students and staff.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Marks! We hope your day is filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of fun-filled surprises!

We loved seeing everyone dive into Back-To-School Day! Thank you to everyone who signed up for the PTO and stopped by our table. All punch cards turned in were entered for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card! The lucky winner has been notified! Thank you to Mr. Marks who agreed to pose with the winning card!
Cannot wait to see everyone next week! 🐝

Today, we proudly welcomed the newest members of Leesville Road Elementary School! We're so excited to have them join our wonderful Bee-community!

🐝 Back-to-School Open House Day at LRES– Wednesday, August 5, 2026
Meet your teachers, visit classrooms, drop off school supplies, and get answers to transportation or back-to-school questions.
12:00–3:00 p.m.
4:00–7:00 p.m.

🐝 Orientation Day at LRES- Tuesday, August 11, 2026- for ECSE, Pre-K, Kindergarten only.
Orientation Day is a Half Day: 8:50–11:50 a.m.
Students will have an opportunity to become familiar with their school, practice routines, and meet teachers and staff.
