This case here involved judicial child abuse against a juvenile. It was self defense from the start. He should have never been charged. The juvenile was convicted on one charge but recently it has to come to light that the conviction will be erased because the surviving witness lied in court. The two two teens had a gun and tried to rob the 17 year old teen. The surviving teen got rid of the gun. Gave it away. Then lied in court stating they had no gun and did not try to rob him. The gun has recently been found in possession by another individual and that person stated the surviving teen gave it to him. So the child that was defending himself his life was almost ruined. He got lucky. His family had the funds to hire the best criminal defense available locally. Had his family been poor and a court appointed lawyer he likely would sit in prison for decades due to an overzealous prosecutor with blanket tough on crime polices. Why was he charged? It's obvious when you analyze it. The two teens doing the robbery were black and resided in Lynchburg City Virginia. The other child was white and resided in Campbell County Virginia. The family of the black children are constituents of the commonwealths attorneys office.(can be voted out) The white kids family are not. Then you factor in the racial politics. The public outcry from the black community locally. The prosecutors office had no choice but that is not an excuse. Self preservation to keep your job and not upset your constituency is not a reason to persecute and abuse a child with your judicial powers. Its takes courage to stand up for what it right even if to your own detriment. Especially when it comes to kids. Just do what is right. Why is that so hard? Will the kid that lied in court under oath be charged? No, of course not.

When a child is charged with a crime in juvenile court and is falsely accused and that child would like his day in court to face his accuser and clear his name. He wants due process. He has a right to this under the constitution. This is supposed to be guaranteed under constitution. He has a right to a fair trial and to face his accuser. When a prosecutor says "you take this plea deal in juvenile court and plead guilty or we will upgrade the charge to adult charges and seek worse punishment" What the prosecutor is doing is denying that child their due process rights. They are denying them their day in court to clear their name. They are committing judicial child abuse. Because the charges in adult court if convicted the penalties and punishment are much higher than juvenile court. Its is a risk the child and his family cannot take. So the family is backed into a corner and all but forced to plead guilty in juvenile court to something they did not do in order to avoid more potential punishment and risk. This is unconstitutional but is done daily nationwide by prosecutors only looking to get another conviction notch on their belt at the expense of children rather than seek the truth and actual justice. Just seeking convictions and not the truth is not justice. It is fake justice. This is hidden from public view since it is in the juvenile system. Prosecutors that use these tactic must be exposed and removed from public office. They have violated the public trust but abusing children with their power. HAS THIS HAPPENED TO YOU?
