Today! Enchanted Trail at Timbrook!

Today! Enchanted Trail at Timbrook!

Today (11/14)! Drop by the Timbrook Library Lower Level Patio to start anytime between 11am to 4pm.

Enchanted Trail is an immersive, outdoor story experience for families to enjoy on the Timbrook Park trails! A small trail in the woods behind Timbrook Library is transformed with decorations and a story one day each month. Families are given a scavenger hunt to enjoy as they walk the trail and read the story together. There is a new theme every month!

This event is geared towards pre-school and elementary students, and the whole family is welcome! Be sure to dress appropriately to be outside for about half an hour, and sensible shoes are a must. Note this is a completely outdoor event, and the trail is not stroller friendly.

✨ CCPS Recognized for Outstanding CTE Partnership! ✨

Presented annually by the Virginia Department of Education, the Creating Excellence Awards honor exceptional partnerships that strengthen high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) across the Commonwealth. These awards shine a light on collaborations between schools and industry that prepare students with real-world skills for future careers.

Campbell County Public Schools is proud to share that our division was recognized for an innovative and impactful partnership that continues to make a difference for students and the community.

In the summer of 2024, Jonathan Robertson, Electricity Instructor at the Campbell County Technical Center, and Ashley Wilson, Work-Based Learning Coordinator, partnered with the Greater Lynchburg Habitat for Humanity—represented by Kathryn Giese and Brian Figgatt—to create a hands-on learning experience unlike any other. Together, they developed an opportunity for Electricity II students to complete a full rough-in electrical installation for a real Habitat home.

🏡 This partnership didn’t end there.
The success of the project sparked ongoing collaboration, and students continued this experience again this year, completing the electrical rough-in on another Habitat home—further strengthening their skills while giving back to the community.

We are grateful for our dedicated staff, community partners, and hardworking students whose commitment to excellence makes recognitions like this possible.

So Great!
