We are trying to schedule a pickup for items too big/not meant for the garbage truck.
I have several addresses needing pick up, if you would like to be added to the list please comment the name of your account holder in the comments. I will update with a time and date once I have a full list and have arranged it with Harlan County Recycling.

City Hall will be closed this morning. I have meetings through ZOOM. (I am at city hall however I cannot answer the door and phones as I am interacting through Zoom meetings)

During the months of September, October and November, the Lynch Police Department will be conducting Traffic Safety Check Points in the following locations:

1. Lynch/Benham City Limits Ky. 0160 (Entrance to Jerry Edwards Park East End).

2. Junction of Church Street and Ky. 0160 (Coffee Shop).

3. Junction of Creekside Drive and Ky. 0160 (Near the Old Lynch High School).

Traffic Safety Checks will be held at various times throughout the months of September and October. Drivers encountering a traffic safety checkpoint are requested to have their operator's license, vehicle registration receipt and proof of insurance readily accessible.

School has started and we encourage all drivers to please use caution when approaching school buses. Be aware of school buses loading and unloading children. Slow down, officers will be enforcing radar detected speeding violations, following too closely and reckless driving. It is illegal to pass a school bus while loading or unloading children. Officers will also be on alert for persons who are texting and driving or other means of distracted driving. The safety of our children is everyone's responsibility.

Maintenance is working on the water line on EAST MAIN, you may have little or NO water pressure during this time.

If you have water at this time, it will not affect you. If your water is off right now, then you are in the area that is being repaired.
