It’s official, Shelly has taught her last lifeguard recertification course after 40 years!! We were the lucky ones that got to recert with her for the last time!! Pretty fun to have 3 generations of lifeguards at the Lyman Aquatic Center for the last 3 years. We are sure going to miss this lady down here!! Fun fact about Shelly: 3 of her own adult children went on to have careers as Aquatic Managers.

A few Shout Outs from last week!!

Porter won the instructor of the week drawing. He is one of our newest teachers. Porter is very good at being hands on. He is great at spotting errors and correcting them while being engaging and encouraging.

Payton won our Lifeguard Games Challenge! (She is a lucky duck because she won the Instructor drawing a few weeks ago.) Something you may not know about Payton is she was trained as a lifeguard and WSI during a High School class and then went on to use her certification at college?! We got to snag her back this summer and could not be happier she is on our crew. She is happy in the water teacher and even on the as deck a lifeguard!!

Myles was the winner of last weeks Lifeguard Games! Myles is kind and respectful. He is always on time and is very polite. Everyone is always jealous of the awesome food his mom brings for him. What do you love about Myles?
