Wow! What a great Summer Reading kick-off! A big thank you to Mr. Rich for coming out and seeing our kids today! And check out Pebbles and Bam Bam, our Summer Reading mascots.

Our next adventure will be this FRIDAY, June 5, at 1 p.m. when THE OWLS ARRIVE! Can't wait to see you all then!

REMINDER! This is 1 p.m. TODAY! We will open the doors for summer reading sign-ups and Mr. Rich Super Science. We will be closing down between 2:30 and 3:00, and back open tomorrow at our regular time!

An update to this: We will be making some yummy treats! I just spoke to the facilitator, and this time the kids will get to make themselves some food, so please bring them on even if they don't necessarily have an interest in picking a book to read! We will want them to participate if they would like to!

Alright guys, here we go!

Next MONDAY we will open for just a couple of hours to host Mr. Rich Super Science! He will be here at 1 p.m. During this time, we can quickly check books in and out, and sign you up for Summer Reading, but we WILL be looking to lock the doors by 2:30-3:00 p.m., so be sure you come in with a purpose. This will NOT be a day for print services or computer use, we will be looking to use these couple of hours exclusively for Mr. Rich and Summer Reading signups.

ALSO NEXT WEEK:

-Thursday, June 6, we will kick off our Summer Teens program. We're doing something a little different this year. Our age group this year will be 12-17, and we will be doing a pick-your-own-book Club! The theme will be "Dystopia." So any book with a dystopian theme will be acceptable! We will be using this time for socializing, reading, and community building within the teen group. I suggest your teen have a library card, or other access to their chosen reading material (audiobooks, ebooks, and print, are ALL acceptable options!) before June 4th.

-Friday, June 5, make time to come to our "Unearth a Story with Owls" program! (yes, that means what you think it means!)
