Trans-Med Ambulance was happy to assist with Carl Kuren Mayor of Wilkes-Barre Township’s 25th Annual Kids’ Fishing Derby. The rain didn’t stop over 50 kids from casting their lines in attempt to reel in the longest fish, for which prizes were handed out for various age groups. As always, we also donated bicycles with helmets which were raffled off to two lucky winners. Congratulations to all of today’s participants, and we are already looking forward to next year’s Derby!

Trans-Med Ambulance is extremely proud of several of our EMS providers who were honored for their excellence in prehospital care by the Trauma Services at Geisinger Wyoming Valley at their annual EMS Week Barbecue. Paramedic Mark Kasper and EMT Victoria Souder, along with Paramedic Jon Stitzer, were recognized for their roles in caring for a patient involved in a motorcycle accident, with multiple traumatic injuries and the complexity of prehospital care provided. Paramedic Joanna Klapacz and EMT Victoria Souder were recognized for the prehospital care provided to a stabbing victim, with their on scene time of only 4 minutes being highlighted. These providers highlight the core values we have in the exemplary care we provide to all of our patients here at Trans-Med Ambulance.
