NEPA Young Democrats Host Period Product Drives to Hold Lawmakers Accountable for Vote Against Reproductive Freedom

In response to Republican lawmakers voting no on House Bill 1957, legislation that would protect Pennsylvanians’ constitutional right to privacy and reproductive freedom, the NEPA Young Democrats are launching a series of period product drives across Northeast Pennsylvania to demand accountability and support community members during an ongoing affordability and healthcare crisis. The period product drives will take place on January 31st from 12-2pm in Luzerne, Lackawanna, Monroe, Lehigh, Pike, and Wayne counties.

All products will be donated to local shelters and free community pantries to directly benefit community members in need.

Thank you to everybody who came out yesterday and donated or volunteered at our gift drive! This is what the spirit of the holiday season is all about. Sadly, a lot of our community members are hurting right now. We truly hope this helps give some kids a better holiday 💙🎄

We’ve had a few people ask if they can still donate. We were able to take all of the donations to Friends of the Poor and the Catherine McCauley center this morning, and their big event is tomorrow, but you may still be able to bring donations to other local organizations in need!
