Last but not least, let’s hear it for Sarina Torres who is running for Democratic State Committee in Lehigh County! 👏🏻

Sarina has been a community organizer in NEPA for years and has worked on all types of races up and down the ballot. She’s a small business owner and is dedicated to improving her community and electing Democrats!

Shoutout to the Pennsylvania Young Democrat’s Treasurer, Margaux O’Neill Bonin, who is running for Lackawanna County Committee Woman in Scranton W-16 P-1.

Margaux is a 2016 graduate of Dunmore High School and a 2020 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in economics. Before her current job in campaign compliance, Margaux worked for Biden/ Harris and the PA HDCC teams, in addition to being a DNC delegate in 2024. She has volunteered to elect democrats up and down the ballot and will continue to do so if elected as a committee woman!

Please join us in congratulating our endorsed candidates in Luzerne County: Anthony Gratter, Joseph Fiorello-Kocher, Allie Schraeder, Megan Kocher, and Johnny Sudol!

These five candidates are running for Democratic State Committee and are thrilled to bring young, passionate, and energetic representation to the Democratic Party. Each of these candidates are active members of the NEPA Young Democrats, helping us host events and forums, register and engage young voters, and increase youth participation in local politics.

We'd love to thank Tony Thomas, Wilkes Barre City Controller, for his ongoing support, mentorship, and endorsement of this group of Young Democrats! Tony is our senior most member and has been instrumental in recruiting and guiding our young candidates in Luzerne County this year.

Anthony (Pittston City) is a community organizer and a father of two. His day job involves listening to his neighbors, organizing alongside them, and fighting for policies that help working people thrive!

Joseph (Plymouth Borough) is a Professional Engineer and is pursuing his master's degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering, all while volunteering in local campaigns since 2020!

Allie (Franklin Township) is lifelong resident of Luzerne County, a Penn State graduate, and a software engineer! Allie is new to the world of politics but she's a problem solver who loves building things and can't wait to bring that passion to the Luzerne County Democratic Party!

Megan (Plymouth Borough) was born and raised in Luzerne County and was recently elected as the Regional Director of the NEPA Young Democrats and Chair of the Luzerne County Democratic Executive Committee. She ran for State Representative in 2024, so she knows what local candidates need and plans to utilize her experience to bring more support and organization to candidates and the party.

Johnny (Pittston City), also a lifelong Luzerne County resident, is currently attending Wilkes University on a pre-law track! He is the Vice Regional Director of the NEPA Young Dems and the Vice President of the Wilkes College Democrats!

Congratulations to PJ Jahn for receiving our endorsement for Pike County Democratic State Committee! Pike County Democrats

PJ is a lifelong Democrat who grew up in Pike County. After law school, he built a career in public service, first as a law clerk handling child abuse expungement appeals, then as a Hearing Officer for Medicaid and SNAP appeals for the State of Delaware.

PJ is actively involved with the Pike County Democratic Committee and the NEPA Young Democrats. He's a seasoned canvasser, having knocked more than 10,000 doors across Milford, Blooming Grove Township, Scranton, Pittston, Wilkes-Barre, Pittsburgh, and New York City!

PJ’s focus is to make Pike County more affordable and to create opportunity. He supports expanding affordable housing, lowering energy costs while growing renewable energy, and reducing grocery prices. He believes corporations and the ultra-wealthy should pay more so local property taxes can come down. He also wants more high-paying jobs, better access to healthcare and mental health providers, safeguards against ICE and 287(g) abuses, and strong voting rights, including access to mail-in ballots. He’s especially committed to getting more young people involved in local politics.
