On Wednesday June 24th, members of the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department will be present at the high school/middle school to conduct active shooter training exercises. The training is expected to occur between approximately 10:00am and 8:00pm.
There is no safety concern for the school or the surrounding area. This activity is part of routine training to ensure familiarity with the facility.
This information is being shared in advance to explain the increased police presence on campus. There is no cause for concern. All activities occurring at the high school/middle school will still occur as they normally would.
