“It’s raining, it’s pouring… and we’re hoping it stays boring.” 🌧️🚑😅

We know this rainy Memorial Day may have put a damper on some plans, but we hope everyone is still finding ways to enjoy time with family and friends safely.

A few reminders from your crew at Luverne Rescue:
🚑 Slow down on wet roads
🚑 Turn your headlights on in the rain
🚑 Don’t drink and drive
🚑 And please put the phones down while driving — we’d hate for this post to be the last thing you see on Facebook today.

While many of us are enjoying cookouts, lake trips, beach vacations, or a day off work, let’s also take a moment to remember what Memorial Day truly means.

Today is for honoring the men and women who never made it home. The ones who gave everything — birthdays, holidays, future plans, and precious time with their families — so we could enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted every day.

Their sacrifice is the reason we gather freely today, and they deserve more than a passing thought. They deserve our remembrance, our gratitude, and our respect. 🇺🇸

From all of us at Luverne Rescue, stay safe, stay dry, and have a blessed Memorial Day!

🚑☀️ Memorial Day Weekend is here, and that means one thing in Crenshaw County…

Traffic. Lots and lots of traffic. 😅

If you’re headed to the beach, traveling through, or just trying to survive Highway 331 this weekend, Luverne Rescue would like to remind everyone to stay safe and patient on the roads.

A few quick tips from your local EMS crews:

🇺🇸 Buckle up — every seat, every trip
🇺🇸 Put the phone down and watch the road
🇺🇸 Don’t drink and drive
🇺🇸 Move over for emergency vehicles and first responders
🇺🇸 Check your tires, fuel, and vehicle before leaving
🇺🇸 Stay hydrated — Alabama heat doesn’t play around
🇺🇸 Leave early and expect delays

And remember:

🚑 The beach will still be there if you arrive 15 minutes later.
🚑 The left lane is for passing… not sightseeing. 😂
🚑 If your GPS says “faster route available,” it’s probably trying to send you through somebody’s pasture road. Proceed with caution.
🚑 Please don’t make us meet you for the first time upside down in a ditch.

Most importantly, take a moment this weekend to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than cookouts and vacations — it’s about honoring sacrifice and freedom. 🇺🇸

From all of us at Luverne Rescue, have a safe and blessed Memorial Day weekend!

This week, Luverne Rescue recognizes EMS Week.

EMS is there for people on some of the worst days of their lives. The calls that come in aren’t planned, and they don’t wait for the “right” time. Day or night, rain or shine, holidays or regular weekdays—when the tone drops, we go.

Behind every call is a team that’s trained to handle the chaos, make quick decisions, and do everything possible to care for someone in need. It’s long hours, missed sleep, and moments that stick with you—but it’s also a commitment to this community that never gets taken lightly.

We’re proud of the crew that shows up every day for Luverne and the surrounding areas, and we’re grateful for the support from the community we serve.

If you’ve ever had an interaction with EMS—whether it was a call, a standby, or just a helping hand—we’d love to hear about it. Feel free to share below.

Thank you for trusting us to be there when it matters most.

This week, Luverne Rescue recognizes Law Enforcement Week.

Law enforcement officers carry a responsibility that most people will never fully understand. Every shift comes with uncertainty, and every call has the potential to change in an instant. The long nights, the difficult calls, and the weight they carry don’t always get seen—but we see it.

On scene, they help create order in chaos and make it possible for everyone else to do their job safely.

This week, we want to hear from our community.

If you know an officer, a department, or someone who has made an impact—drop their name below. Whether it’s a simple thank you, a story, or a shoutout, let’s take a moment to recognize the people who serve and protect our community every day.

From all of us at Luverne Rescue—thank you for everything you do.

Stay safe.

This week, Luverne Rescue recognizes Nurse Week.

Nurses are a critical part of patient care—from the moment we hand off a patient, they take over and keep that care going. They handle the long shifts, the fast pace, and the constant demands with a level of skill and compassion that doesn’t go unnoticed.

We work side by side with nurses in the ER and beyond, and we see firsthand the difference they make for every patient who comes through those doors.

From all of us at Luverne Rescue—thank you for what you do, for the care you give, and for the role you play in taking care of our community.

We appreciate you.
