Our Association is aware of the concerns that surrounded the tax funds that we receive. The Crenshaw County Commission was looking into an issue that faced them and a way to fund it. We had a number of positive and productive conversations with them, and we believe they have come to a resolution that will not consider taking the much needed funds from the volunteer fire departments in our county. We thank the Commission for listening to us and we look forward to our continued relationship. We thank the citizens of Crenshaw County for your unwavering support of our fire departments!

Neal. W.A. has served the fire service in Luverne and Crenshaw County for 50 years. He served many years as the President of the CCAVFD, where he led numerous initiatives to improve the fire service in the county. W.A. also served the Luverne Fire Department, where he was highly dedicated. Not only was W.A. a dedicated firefighter he also served as a State Trooper and Luverne Police officer. Luverne and Crenshaw County have lost an extraordinary person. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
