The Lamar Fire Department as are ALL Volunteer Fire Depts always looking for Volunteers to join our ranks. Become a Neighbor helping your Neighbors when help is needed! We don't just respond to fires. We respond when our Neighbor needs any kind of help! Come by the Lutherville Station on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month!! Talk to us, look around, ask questions and see if the Fire Service might be for you!!

All the fire departments in the county need help. We’ve heard all the excuses. I can’t commit to (fill in the blank), I’m not always available, I’m too young/old, I don’t know anything about it. They are just excuses. We are all volunteers. We can when we can and we can’t when we can’t.

This is an incredible job you get paid for in ways that aren’t money. If you’ve ever thought about it, contact the VFD in your area. The hardest part, is walking through that station door the first time.

We all live in the communities we serve. How can you make a difference?

Per the Johnson County Judge, Johnson County is placed under a **BURN BAN** as of 12:00 Noon 8-24-23! No outdoor burning of ANY kind is allowed.
