Did you know there are over 13,000 religious institutions across Pennsylvania?

Here's what that number means for kids in foster care: if each one identified just ONE family willing to open their home, there would be enough foster families for every child in the system. Every single one.

Faith communities have always been places of belonging, refuge, and love, and children in foster care need exactly that.

Whether you attend a church, mosque, synagogue, or any faith community, you have the power to start a conversation that could change a child's life. It just takes one announcement, one conversation after service, one family saying yes.

We'd love to come to your faith community and share more about how your congregation can make a difference, no pressure, no commitment required. Just an honest conversation about what's possible.

There are 367,998 religious organizations in the United States.

If just ONE family from each congregation said yes to a child in foster care... the crisis would be over.

Faith communities have always shown up for the vulnerable. This is our generation's moment to do the same.

You don't have to be perfect. You just have to be willing.

Every June, we pause to honor something remarkable: families who fought hard, worked through the hard stuff, and came back together.

National Reunification Month is a time to recognize the family members, social workers, foster families, and courts who made it possible. Reunification doesn't happen by accident. It happens because a lot of people refused to give up.

In Pennsylvania, about 42% of youth leaving foster care are reunited with their family of origin. Behind that number is real families, and real kids who got to go home.

The primary goal of the child welfare system has always been keeping families together. We're proud to be part of that work.

If you've ever supported a child's journey back to their family, whether that is as a foster parent, a caseworker, or a community member, thank you. You're part of that story! πŸ’™

That's a 4-year-old in Allegheny County who keeps asking when he's going home.

That's a 16-year-old in Clearfield who's been in 11 placements, and still hasn't given up on people.

That's a 13-year-old in Altoona who just got home and found out she has to move again.

Every single one of them deserves a safe place to land. πŸ’™
