Employee Recognition

Jenny Knight
Chief Deputy

Jenny was promoted to Chief Deputy on January 1, 2022. Having served the County since Oct 21, 2002 her duties include overseeing all departments and ensuring deadlines are met. Preparing the Personal Property, Public Service and Real Estate Tax Books. She also assists the Commissioner with the training, scheduling and evaluating staff.

Jenny's education and experience includes a Associate of Science degree from National College of Business and Technology in 2002. She became designated as a Master Deputy Commissioner of the Revenue from the University of Virginia Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service and School of Continuing and Professional Studies in 2006.

She currently serves as the President for the BAI Municipal Software Users Group for the Commissioner's Association.

Outside of work, Jenny enjoys home improvement projects, kayaking on the Shenandoah River with husband Preston and time spent with her furbabies and family.

Kim Wright
Master Deputy Commissioner of the Revenue

Real Estate Division

Kim has worked in the Real Estate Department since October 6, 2005. She also assists with Tax Relief for the Elderly and Land Use.

She became designated as a Master Deputy Commissioner of the Revenue from the University of Virginia Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service and School of Continuing and Professional Studies in 2019.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband Tom and family. Her hobbies include reading and karoke.
